John Riley Construction is working on phase two of the Bois De Sioux Watershed Districts’ “Redpath impoundment Mustinka River Rehabilitation Project”. We started this project late May 2023 & will be completing this phase later this fall, moving just shy of one million yards of dirt. “The purpose of this project is to provide local & regional flood risk reduction for over 5 miles of the Mustinka River”. This will help with flood reduction for downstream roads, agricultural lands, farmsteads, & communities. It will also help bring fish & wildlife habitat enhancements to the area & water quality benefits to Lake Traverse. The Redpath Impoundment will be the second regional floodwater storage facility in the area.
